Woman charged with shooting man in West Rogers Park

A woman faces attempted murder charges after shooting a man Tuesday night in West Rogers Park on the North Side.

The man, 33, was in the 7500 block of North Oakley Avenue about 8 p.m. when Nycole Tolbert allegedly approached him and opened fire, striking him in the leg, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in good condition, police said.

Tolbert also shot at another man, 27, but he was not struck, police said.

Two girls, 13 and 14, were present at the time of the attack but were not injured, police said.

Police say the incident appears to be domestic-related. A weapon was recovered at the scene, officials said.

Tolbert faces multiple felony counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, as well as one count of aggravated domestic battery.
